The Challenge

With a change in the company pension scheme having been negotiated and agreed, it was a requirement to process the pension contributions for all individual employees and submit them in an electronic format to the new pension company.
The company was currently using a payroll bureau to pay employees on a bi-weekly basis and then submitting the pension contributions in the same way.
The new pension scheme company would only accept contributions once a month and only via there online system.

The Solution

With the company using a payroll bureau, it was necessary to intercept the payroll files on return from the bureau to store and calculate a monthly amount for each employee which would then be submitted to the pension scheme company.

An Access database was designed and built to import the payroll files, collate the data and then export a file containing the contributions for upload to the new pension company via its online system.

The Outcome

A fully operational low maintenance system was installed and successfully used to allow the upload of contributions to the new pension company online system.

Timeframe agreed with the pension company for testing was maintained throughout the project and the go-live completion date was met on time.
